On Wednesday 27 February I escorted a media group to the prison to ‘cover’ the footy games between our Northern Pride boys and the prisoners – who took the honours on the day with a 5-1 win – all in good fun.

We had nine visiting journalists from around Australia who spent three days in Cairns sampling the arts, culture and entertainment that this wonderful city has to offer in the lead up to Cairns Festival 17 August – 2 September.
